Rhino Encounter at Knowsley Safari Park

An encounter with a rhino is certainly not an everyday experience and my "special day" at Knowsley Safari Park, here in Merseyside, was something I'll remember forever, including the wind & rain. Let's just say that it was an intimate experience, getting up close to these incredible beasts. My day started with feeding warthogs, followed by a ride through some sections of the park. Then it was time to meet the Rhinos one of the largest land mammals, I could feel the solid muscles as I stroked/patted/ their heads/ears/backs etc. very much an intimate experience. Later I went to the Baboon Section and, in an armoured glass wire caged vehicle fed the troupe. The experience was incredible, and enhanced by the knowledgeable staff that made my Rhino Encounter wonderful!
